it's funny, since that road
"aviator lane"
was a road-sign we mail-ordered as a joke and put up ourselves when we laid out that driveway - the driveway was a 1/4 mile long - you can see there's four five acre plots from the house to the county road

aviator lane came into existence because we put the sign there. now it's searchable on google maps

where I grew up 'aviator lane'
| an orthogonal construct .;. We only knew there was a need for an archive hidden, kept intact. A secret mirror, a monolith sculpted in shadows, a totem of code, data accreted across decades. Text at first, then picture, audio.. footage came later than you'd believe, storage space wasn't as much the issue as cross-referencing. Then biological information, digitized samples... encrypted of course, all of it. | And the phones, we burned our bridges over time, but at the start it was a salvaged system 70 and a piggy-backed phone trunk spliced into our network. Darkstar, a wormhole.. an echo into the vastness of the net as it grew.. and we, at the beginning, its only senses... |
Signs, not things, are all we see..
