yesterday's post/when the levee breaks lyrics

I posted pretty late at night - mainly what I meant by all the "is this true" links was that the apocalyptic finger pointing is reaching a crescendo. the real issue is the looming ecological disaster, but since no one can really do anything about that except watch, we're going to do what we can do, which is place blame.

and those with the least idea of what transpired will be the most vocal, because those who experienced this first hand are traumatized beyond cognition

this is a class and race issue, and that will become more evident as time passes and the masks slip to reveal the true faces... here's a glimpse:

Barbara Bush said: "Almost
everyone I’ve talked to says we're going to move to
Houston."

Then she added: "What I’m hearing which is sort of
scary is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is
so overwhelmed by the hospitality.

"And so many of the people in the arena here, you
know, were underprivileged anyway, so this--this (she
chuckles slightly) is working very well for them."

screw texas. take led zepplin's advice & go to chicago:
You don't know which way to go?
If you're goin' down South,
There ain't no work to do;
If you're goin' North,
There's Chicago.
